Urban Ontography - orienting towards graphical representations from everyday life and movement as a way into .. wandering, wondering, mumbling, photographing, pondering, glimpsing the clouds, feeling the wind ..
The English suffix -graphy means a "field of study" or related to "writing", and is an anglicization of the French -graphie inherited from the Latin -graphia.
Ontography as a contemplative practise, maybe as an alternative name for object-oriented philosophy, of vicarious causation, things never really interacting with one another, but melding or vibrating together in a conceptual way. Things are conceptual. Things happen. Thoughts happen. Making sense through metaphor in a philosophical sort of way.
Photography will play a role. Shifts in perspective. Perception. Things. Phenomena. Experiences. Layerings. Reflected. Shadow. Silhouette. A tendency towards the what now of everyday life, rather than what next, or what then. Less questions of causality, more phenomenal experience, especially embodied sense / feeling of experience, manifesting, articulated, mediated, in meditative ways. Reflecting upon nowness. The wow of now. Embryonic Being. Reasoning. This moment.
